First and foremost, I hope that everyone reading this is doing well, staying safe, and in good spirits during these uncertain times. This website is a dream that I’ve had for many years. The dream has finally come true.
I have been blessed to be involved with Bhangra since 2003. My love and passion for this dance translated to my camera, I documented everything I did and everywhere I went. Years later, those efforts translated to the single largest library of Bhangra around the world. The rest is now history.
Up until now, GTV videos have not been easy to find, nor organize. Performing a search on YouTube would display many results, not always the results that a person would be looking for. That’s where this website comes in. Each and every video that you find on here today has been meticulously tagged by my wife and I. Tags such as team name, competition location, and the type of dance for each video. What this means is that you’ll be able to sort down to the most meticulous level when searching this library.
The wifey and I have gone through literally thousands of videos, an extremely time consuming task. Roughly 90% of the videos have been loaded and tagged, many still remain. In the coming days, weeks, and months, we’ll continue this effort to have all videos and other contact loaded here.
Lastly, being a husband, a son, a brother, and a team leader at an amazing workplace, this dream would not have been possible without Gabroo Tv’s web developer, Tiffany Mark, from Vancouver BC. I first met with Tiffany well over a year ago per the recommendation of my brother Hardeep Singh Sahota, who is the Director of Royal Academy of Bhangra, in Surrey BC. I described my dreams to Tiffany, and she just got it. She understood the ask and started proposing design ideas. She is also the person who designed the new GTV logo, which I absolutely LOVE! For anyone interested in building out any sort of web presence, I highly recommend Tiffany. Her website is www.tiffanymark.com
That is all for now, fam. Enjoy the website, there is much more to come.
